Dr. Bradley Hughes draws on a wide variety of educational and practical experiences over his career to convey complex scientific ideas in a fun and relatable way. Attendees at his talks regularly report being excited about what they are able to take away from the presentation while having a fun and entertaining experience.
With his Undergraduate degrees in Physics, Philosophy, and Mathematics, and post-graduate degrees in Education and Physics (along with over twenty years of teaching experience), Dr. Hughes has a unique perspective on the progress of science throughout human history.
Other than his tenured Astronomy professorship (and planetarium experience), Dr. Hughes has active scientific interests in biotechnology, brain-computer interfaces, and applying artificial intelligence to scientific inquiry.
Frequently weaving humor, anecdotes, varied scientific fields, and thought experiments for the audience into his discourse, Dr. Hughes presents on topics as diverse as the history of Astronomy, the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, and the philosophy/history/future of science in general.
