BIOGRAPHY
After studying fine art in Belfast and Staffordshire universities, Kathy Marsh was awarded a place on a EU funded arts and language program in Florence, Italy. There she developed her art practice working alongside other artists and craftspeople.

In her career as an artist, Kathy has received many awards and recognition for her work as a teacher and collaborative artist. She set up an arts organization called Irishartnow, and through that enterprise she has established a platform for artists to share ideas and work together. She also set up a program of educational art activities for young people, called Paint box workshops.

Kathy has taught painting, drawing, photography, ceramics and crafts to adults and children in education, health and community settings. She has a wonderful approach to working with people, gently encouraging them in their ideas and innate creativity.

The location/environment, art history of the place and sights and sounds on board the vessel will inspire the art classes. Class participants will study famous artist’s work to contextualize their own projects. A wide range of materials will be made available, to experiment with techniques. Classes are taught through tutor demonstrations and one to one tuition. Free learning/ art educational print outs will be available to participants along with a power point slide show of topical art history/cruise location images to aid learning.

Kathy can offer creative art classes through two avenues- Paint Box Workshops and Craft Club. Please see class topics for further details.

Please follow this link to see Kathy's workshops that took place on the Boudicca trip to Norway and Shetlands 29th August 2014 to 6th September 2014 >> www.irishartnow.com/recent
