BIOGRAPHY
Andrew has been fascinated by architecture and engineering ever since he was a small boy playing with Meccano and Lego. This fascination led him to be an engineering graduate from the University of Southampton and a career as a Chartered Civil Engineer.

Andrew has spent much of his working life on a variety of construction industry projects initially working for the British Government. An avid traveller, in 1998, he took time off from the construction industry and joined a walking holiday travel company as General Manager and subsequently started his own niche travel agency. As a result, he has travelled the world discovering interesting architectural and engineering history and stories which he now shares with cruise guests. Lured back to the construction industry, Andrew became a Director of several companies creating buildings for the NHS and Local Authorities.

After a canal boat holiday and passage through the Panama Canal, Andrew became interested in the history and engineering of canals both in the UK and around the world. He draws on this interest and his engineering knowledge to enhance the experience of cruise guests on Panama Canal cruises.

He now lives with his partner dividing his time between homes in Hitchin, Hertfordshire and Malaga, Spain. With two gardens to look after, he considers himself an enthusiastic if none too successful gardener.

PRESENTATIONS / WORKSHOPS & CLASSES
Andrew is a destination-related speaker with a portfolio of talks for destinations on transatlantic re-positioning cruises and cruises around the Iberian Peninsula and the Canary Islands. He is also a Special Interest speaker for Panama Canal cruises where his talks on the canals construction and scenic cruising commentary during the transit draw on his engineering knowledge.
