BIOGRAPHY
Herbert Kerrigan is a leading King's Counsel in Scotland who also practices at the English Bar at Foundry Chambers in Chancery Lane, London (formerly 9-11 Bell Yard). He has taught at the University of Edinburgh where he was lecturer in criminal law and criminology, and at various Universities in Britain and the United States where he teaches developing comparative law founding on Scots, English and European Law. He has been involved in constitutional issues in Israel/Palestine (where he has addressed the Knesset Law Committee) and in South Africa.

He is recognised as a commentator on current affairs including Royalty (having been involved since Her Late Majesty's Silver Jubilee) and is an expert in criminology. He is a graduate of the Universities of Aberdeen, Keele, The Hague Academy of International Law and Oxford, and he holds degrees in Arts, Law and Divinity. He is also qualified in the Church of Scotland where he has been Convener of Chaplains to H.M. Forces.

He has considerable experience speaking on cruise ships. Chair of Edinburgh Royal Infirmary Samaritan Society and of the Thistle Trust which is responsible for administering the Robin Chapel - a Memorial to Lieutenant. Robin Tudsbery who was part of the Royal Protection Squad in WW2 and travelled extensively with the King and Queen and the Royal Princesses - in which H.M. Queen Elizabeth II had a close interest and commanded that the Sovereign's Standard be laid up there when new Colours were presented to the Blues and Royals. He was one of 55 people present at Westminster Abbey for a Service to mark the arrival of the Stone of Destiny from Edinburgh Castle the Saturday before the Coronation.
