Drawing on a rich background, including chemical engineering, corporate business, consulting, and teaching, Dave Kingrea weaves stories about history from his travel insights, research, and knowledge. History is not merely about dates and facts but about people, relationships, and life stories. Dave tells people's stories with a unique style, blending travel experiences, creative narratives, humor, and engaging trivia to make history come alive. Dave obtained a BS degree in chemical engineering from The University of Texas and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Following his passions of teaching and history, he led international programs at major corporations such as IBM and MCI. Pursuing his love of travel and history, Dave has visited all seven continents and 49 states. He also has visited over 150 countries to earn membership in The Travelers’ Century Club, another item on his bucket list.
Over the past decade, Dave has enjoyed sharing his penchant for history by teaching adult lifelong learning courses. His courses and programs have included topics such as the histories of Great Britain, Russia, France, Italy, China, Greece, and the Roman Empire, and Chinese art, as well as many topics on American history. Guests will get a vivid and compelling picture of what life was really like in the places they are going to visit. Be sure to ask Dave about his time on the TV program "Jeopardy". He's a four-time champion.
