Martin Pucci was brought up in Chesterfield Derbyshire then moved to Aberdeen to study medicine. He qualified in 1979 then did 18 months of surgical training. During this time he also worked in Newcastle doing Gynaecology. Back in the Aberdeen area he joined a General Practice in Ellon, and stayed there from 1983 until 2009 when he retired. He has taught medical students throughout his career and is still a clinical senior lecturer at Aberdeen University.

Martin is an avid reader of scientist biography, politics and history and is very interested in astronomy, quantum physics and fast cars.

He played football from a very young age, but sadly just watches now! He still runs 2-3 times weekly and has run the London Marathon twice.

Has spoken at many dinners over the years, and wrote a newspaper column for 6 years.

He married Irene, a cystic fibrosis specialist nurse, in 1971 and they have two children.

I have spoken on cruise liners for the past 6 years. I have lectured with Fred Olsen, Cunard and Viking. Feedback so far has been very encouraging and positive. We have thoroughly enjoyed all the cruises and met some very interesting people.
