BIOGRAPHY
Steve’s training and education are from his hometown of Los Angeles, where he graduated from the USC School Of Cinematic Arts. During his final year of studies, he began working on feature films in Hollywood before going off to sea to travel the world on Norwegian cruise ships.

In 1987, Steve relocated and continued his film career in Norway, which coincided with the inception of Norwegian commercial television. He began by producing ads but quickly returned to narrative film production as an assistant director and second unit director on feature films and television series in Norway, Iceland, Sweden and Finland.

In 1994, Steve production managed the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. A year later, Steve returned to producing ads, and in 1997 became the Managing Director of the film wing of Norway’s largest ad agency, Bates Advertising. Since 1997, Steve has produced over 500 television commercials.

He has lectured on short-format film production and storytelling techniques at the European Film College, Norway’s College of Film Studies, the Advertisers Association of Norway and most recently as a guest speaker on cruise ships. He speaks Norwegian as well as Danish and Swedish.
In February 2013, Steve won the award for Norway’s best television advertisement, «Gullfisken» for the Farmer’s CO-OP (Felleskjøpet) and in 2015 Steve produced Norway’s most popular cinema commercial for Evergood Coffee with Morgan Freeman.

Following the success of the Evergood campaign, Steve fulfilled his boyhood dream of returning to the cruise industry as Cruise Director. In this new role, Steve managed the daily activities and live entertainment on board Viking Star for Viking Cruises.

During the pandemic, Steve spent his time developing concepts for TV series as well as freelancing as a content and branding consultant for major Norwegian brands.

In April of 2023, Steve became acquainted with Saga Cruises as a lecturer, then was offered the position of Cruise Director on their ship, Spirit of Adventure.

Currently, Steve produces both national and Nordic ads for Kitchen Advertising, the Oslo branch of the international Advertising Group Publicis Norway.

When home, Steve lives a quiet life with his wife Anne and his two dogs outside of Trondheim Norway, just 3 degrees under the Artic Circle.
