Joanne Eakin is an archaeologist and osteologist. She has participated in the recovery and analysis of WWII remains on Tarawa and the Northern Mariana Islands and the excavation and analysis of multiple prehistoric human skeletal assemblages in the Pacific region and US Southwest. She currently investigates human migration patterns in the Pacific via ancient DNA analysis.
