BIOGRAPHY
Knut O. Nesse, a native Norwegian living in Montreal, was Norway’s Trade Commissioner to Canada, and later Commercial Counsellor & Consul for the Norwegian Embassy in Germany.

As a student leader in the 1980s, Knut was active on the European political scene, and had the opportunity to participate at high-level meetings with European and world leaders as well as major international youth and student groups. This unique experience developed his knowledge of the politics of Europe and the world, and shaped a lifelong interest in the political life, culture, and history of Europe.

In his early career with multinational corporations he had the opportunity of living and working in many European countries and experience first hand their language, people and history. His special interests include the Vikings, Arctic Explorers, Scandinavia and history of Imperial Russia.
