Joel is a graduate of The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) Was an officer in The United States Army. Is a retired business owner who upon retirement became a volunteer docent for The National Park Service at Washington’s Headquarters in Morristown, NJ. This volunteer service awakened in Joel a deep interest in the founding of our country. Remembering how dull history was in high school, Joel wanted to ignite in others an interest in learning about our country’s origins. He has written over 20 lectures about our country’s beginnings including 2 lectures focusing on women, lectures on The Declaration of Independence, The Pilgrims and The Mayflower, George Washington, and more! Joel must be doing something right. This year (2024) Joel has already booked 84 lectures (as of March 28)
