Following her degree and teaching certificate Jill taught for many years in colleges of Further Education before taking the leap to working as a freelance designer.

Over the years Jill has designed art and craft products for many major companies including W.H.Smith, Early Learning Centre and Disney.

She has contributed to a number of books such as Kirstie Allsopp Crafts and Tilda's Homemade Ideas and her designs are published regularly in a range of magazines including Crafts Beautiful, Simply Homemade and Make Jewellery.

Jill continues to teach and travels widely to hold workshops in the U.K., Europe and most recently to teach jewellery making in Moscow and silk painting in Kalliningrad.

She has guest presented on numerous occassions for Create and Craft T.V. and the Jewellery Maker channel and can also be seen demonstrating a range of crafts including glass engraving and wood carving at the N.E.C. Hobbycraft show.

Many years of experience and working for a wide variety of clients means that Jill can offer a broad range of classes. When teaching on cruises Jill aims to present a wide and fresh selection of projects. All are tailored for beginners whilst giving scope for additional creativity to those who are more confident and experienced.

1. Silk painting
We offer a choice of three projects. All use pre-printed silks so this is easy for beginners.
a. Paint a picture. Mount and frame are included.
b. Suncatcher. Ribbons and additional embellishments are included.
c. Greetings cards which once painted are stitched with beads.

2. Ceramic painting
Use ceramic pens to design and paint egg cups. The paints are dishwasher-proof so the finished pieces are practical as well as pretty.

3. Glass painting
We offer a choice of three projects.
a. Design and paint a frame.
b. Paint a tealight holder.
c. Make and paint greetings cards,.

4. Candle decorating.
A quality candle is supplied and everything needed to complete this beaded candle. Additional embellishments are also provided for those who would like to personalise their project further.

5. Design a necklace.
This fun project enables everyone to design and make their own necklace from a huge selection of quality beads.

6. Crystal necklace with marching earrings.
Simple to make but with stunning results this lovely set is ideal for evening wear.

7. Design a beaded bracelet.
Fun to make, passengers select their own beads from our huge selection and make a beaded bracelet. A choice of gold or silver chain is offered.

8. Napkin Decoupage.
This traditional craft is very popular in Europe but not well known in the U.K.
We offer a choice of three projects.
a. Decoupage and embellish a window notebook.
b. Decoupage a ceramic piggy bank.
c. Make and decoupage greetings cards.

9. Mosaic
Passengers can choose from a large selection of ceramic mosaic tiles to make these projects. Pattern sheets are provided.
We offer a choice of two projects.
a. Frame.
b. Coasters.
