Tricia began sewing at an early age and as her children started school she returned to education and gained an Advanced City & Guilds Sewing Skills Qualification and went onto University to complete a Certificate in Education enabling her to teach adults. She lives in Yorkshire with her husband, John and taught at two city colleges and private classes in the community. She also enjoyed working with adults with learning disabilities through a weekly Mencap Club for 20 years.
She also keeps busy with her voluntary work running a social group with the elderly and enjoys visiting the sick and lonely in the community.
Tricia has travelled extensively and cruised many times for pleasure and as a craft instructor. She is an enthusiastic teacher and has excellent rapport with passengers attending her sessions.
She is keen to keep on trend with her craft work and attends a craft club where new craft projects can be tried and developed.
Tricia’s projects are inclusive for all levels of competence and gender with the scope for the individual to use their own artistic flair.
She provides hands-on teaching and each project comes with a worksheet for future reference. She really enjoys teaching crafts in a friendly, calm and relaxed atmosphere which enables people to try something new, socialise and make new friends and memories.
