Steve was an operational, senior detective (Detective Chief Inspector) at New Scotland Yard, London. He is a graduate of the Institute for Police and Criminological Studies He is a lecturer at a London University teaching new Detectives in training

During his service, he investigated serious crime at the highest level comprising:- serial killing ( 2 offenders), terrorism, major drug trafficking into the UK, and money laundering. His success was supplemented by being a forensic & criminal psychologist

After leaving the police service, Steve set up his own practice, advising TV programs and production companies about crime programs, notably:
