Anne won the ‘Art Prize’ at school most years and always knew she would paint when there was space in her life. She has demonstrated ‘Caran D’ache art products to Art Societies in Southern England for a long time. Anne has taught Watercolour painting to passengers on cruise ships for the past eight years. An accomplished artist she is competent in all media including watercolour, pastel, oils, acrylic and pencil and exhibits her paintings regularly. Anne feels her most important aim is for passengers to enjoy the classes, enriching their cruise and having fun painting.

Susan Bradley

Sue is primarily a watercolour painter. She enjoys 'traditional' landscape scenes but is also very interested in creating pattern and textural effects and semi-abstract themes. She has had paintings selected for major exhibitions including the Artist and Leisure Painter magazine annual open exhibition at Patchings Art Centre, Nottingham and the Royal Society of Marine Artists exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London. Sue is a fully qualified teacher and currently tutors watercolour classes for adults, workshops for art societies and painting holidays in Spain and Italy.

Tracey Cattana is an educator (Wollongong University, Australia) and an Artist with many exhibitions under her belt. She has spent many years travelling overseas visiting every art gallery imaginable big and small. Her favourite artists span from Australian Indigenous Art and Brett Whitely to the genius she has a soft spot for the once misunderstood and beautiful Vincent Van Gogh. Come with her as she shares the eclectic, sometimes sad and sometimes funny lives behind the artwork of much loved artists that will touch your heart not just for their amazing works but their creative minds and enviably interesting stories.

Gill has always been interested in crafts and interior design and loves to share her skill and knowledge with others. Tony Cowlishaw is an established professional artist based in Nottingham who has exhibited at Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery and at the University of Nottingham Art Gallery. In addition, he exhibits his work at Craft Shows and Art Festivals throughout the country and several hundred of his paintings are sold every year to collections both at home and abroad. Tony is an experienced Art Instuctor on cruises and his classes have always proved popular with passengers.

Sylvianne studied Fine Art, Spatial Design and Graphic Design at the University of East Anglia. She has had a varied career in the Art world from theatre, set and costume design for West End productions, to onscreen graphic operator and Senior Motion Graphic Designer. As a committed artist and craftsperson, trained in all mediums, she is now passing on her many skills in Watercolour painting, sketching, various crafts and sewing. Her workshops are simple, accessible and fun and she is always willing to spend that extra time to encourage her students to reach their own personal artistic goals.

Mike Dobson MBE

Mike is an established watercolour artist, painting commissions and exhibiting in galleries and exhibitions. Mike took early retirement as Principal Education Officer for North Yorkshire County Council and was awarded the MBE for ‘Services to young people and North Yorkshire County Council’ in the Queen’s New Year Honours in 1995. He trained as a teacher and subsequently completed an advanced Diploma in Adult Education and a Master of Education Degree at the University of Leeds. He has been an art instructor on cruises for many years.

Barbara Gilligan presently has an art Studio where she teaches Art and Adult Craft Classes. She teaches Wreath Making, Painted Glassware, Signage and Decoupage and Art Classes. She has studied with a Master Artist from Russia for 4 years to become Certified as a Zhostovo Painting Instructor. Zhostovo painting is a form of Russian Decorative Painting. She has also studied Art under several different instructors and mediums, including, Water Color, Colored Pencil and Oil Painting. She loves the Ocean and Cruising and would like to combine her love of teaching Art and Crafts with her Love for Cruising...

Jack qualified in Art and Design as a mature student at Bradford College of Art in 1996. He is proficient in all media and enjoys painting all subjects - landscapes, seascapes and still-life studies - although his preferred medium is oil and favourite topic, figurative work. He has exhibited paintings at many venues across the North West, in city galleries and private ones, and his portrait of Sir William Walton is on permanent display at Oldham Gallery.

Helen is a practising professional artist creating and exhibiting paintings, prints and ceramics. She originally studied Music at Durham University and the Vienna Academy, worked for the BBC and Swiss Radio as a Studio Manager and sound engineer, then went on to gain a degree in Fine Art. Since then she has taught painting for local authorities and on painting holidays in the UK and abroad. Her enthusiasm for her subject, wide-ranging knowledge and ability to encourage and support each individual has ensured that her painting courses are popular and enjoyable.

Amanda Halliwell

Amanda has always been interested in art and crafts and has continued to paint avidly whilst working in other fields. She enjoys a variety of styles and techniques, including palette knife oil-painting, acrylics, inks, watercolour, gouache and on silk. Educated at Leicester and Warwick Universities, Amanda followed a first degree in Art History with a masters in business. She enjoys teaching classes to children and adults, and more recently as an art instructor on cruises.

Caroline James

Caroline studied Textiles and fashion at Ravensbourne College of Art, Bromley Kent. She started up a small business when moving to the west country, in providing pictures to Show Homes, Restaurants, and Pubs. During this time she successfully started teaching groups of students watercolour painting from her home. Encouraged by her efforts in teaching, and enjoying meeting people to teach, Caroline started up Watercolour classes from the Local village hall, in Long Ashton, outside Bristol. As her work shows light and life, so her students are inspired by her natural way of teaching and passion for painting.

Colin Joyce

Born in Sunderland, Co Durham in 1957, Colin has lived in Dunfermline, Fife since 2004. Having always had an interest in art since early school years, Colin studied art to Advanced level and, later, part-time college. Colin pursued a career in Financial Services for 38 years, painting in his spare time. He took early retirement in 2013 to concentrate on painting full time. Colin has been fortunate to have studied with renowned oil painter Ken Howard RA OBE, also internationally known watercolourists Joseph Zbukvic and Alvaro Castagnet. Colin writes articles for Leisure Painter magazine and is a watercolour instructor on cruise ships.

Magda Kozarzewska

Magda was born and educated in Poland, Warsaw and studied at Chelsea School of Art and The Slade School of Fine Art. She was among the fortunate ones to be taught by Gowing, Coldstream and Uglow. She is a practicing artist and an experienced teacher. She taught at schools, art schools and art colleges including RCA. Since 2012 Kozarzewska has been teaching watercolour painting on ships. She also works as a house guide at Blenheim Palace and an assistant custodian at the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford. Her work has been exhibited at national and commercial galleries and museums in the UK and Europe.

Jean trained in 'Design' at Newton Park College of Education, Bath, and she has also studied with the Open College of the Arts. Since qualifying she has taught people of all ages and abilities in schools and colleges. In addition to the regular classes and workshops she has taught portrait drawing on cruise ships for several years. Jean's aim is to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere where people can progress at their own pace, gradually gaining confidence and increasing their observational skills.

Arnold Lowrey

Arnold lives in South Wales and is now a Welsh professional artist who has been painting for over 40 years. He paints and tutors in all mediums, including watercolour, acrylics, pastels and oils. He has regular exhibitions of his paintings in the South Wales area as well as exhibiting at the Mall Galleries in London amongst others. His current exhibitions are centred at The Norwegian Church, Cardiff Bay. He has written four books on painting, produced 21 professional DVDs, and regularly tutors on cruise ships.

Paul is an artist, teacher and curator. He trained at Liverpool College of Art and University College London, achieving a BA Hons, Post Graduate Certificate of Education and MA. He has taught for many years, in schools and colleges and in museums and galleries. He paints in oil, watercolour and mixed-media and has enjoyed a number of one-person exhibitions in the UK. Paul has taught on cruise ships for ten years and his classes are always popular and lively.

Emily Bozeman Mixon has been involved in Arts and Crafts for over 40 years. She attended many crafts shows as a participant for over 15 years traveling from Tennessee to as far away as Michigan to sell her wares. She managed two craft supplies stores for a craft supply company located in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1992 Emily began teaching arts & crafts on cruise ships for Costa, Cunard, Celebrity and Holland America and has been doing so ever since. She has taught many classes with 100 or more people in attendance and others with 25-35 people in attendance.

John Morris

Originally from Merseyside, John started his working life in Graphic Arts after attending Liverpool College of Art. A change of career saw him training as a chef, subsequently owning his own restaurant in Yorkshire and then becoming a Further Education Lecturer in professional cookery. Inspired by the TV programme Watercolour Challenge, John decided to take up painting again and over recent years has combined formal painting courses for beginners with self development.

Claudia Puma

Claudia Puma's life pursuit has been in the arts and crafts field, her love of color and design took many forms over the past 40 years. For over 38 years she participated in some of the best art fairs in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. She won awards for her designs in Quilting and in jewelry design, Creative Designs was a very appropriate name for her business. Claudia began teaching on cruise ships in 1986 and has taught on Costa, Celebrity, Cunard, and Carnival, and has traveled extensively in the Mediterranean, Central American, Caribbean, and USA. Traveling the world is a passion for Claudia, teaching classes on cruise brings her two passions together.

Hildegarde Reid

Hildegarde was born on the edge of the Kalahari Desert, South Africa. She studied Social Science at the University of the Orange Free State, but has always been passionately involved in painting. She came to the UK in the 60's, and lives in Surrey where she teaches and paints in her Studio in Molesey. Her work is much influenced by her roots and she brings warmth and vibrancy into her paintings. She regularly runs painting workshops for a number of Art Societies and for the last 4 years Hildegarde has been a watercolour instructor for major Cruise Lines.

Linda is originally from the south coast and has lived in the historical city of Lincoln for 25 years. Linda has always been a crafter and painter. She can offer a diverse programme of embroidery based projects, some can be completed in a single lesson , others in a series of classes depending upon the cruise duration. Linda can also teach painting in acrylics, usually flora and fauna which are her special interest. Her Arts & Crafts classes are suitable for beginners and the more experienced.

Maggie Sadullah

Maggie is an artist with a passion for light and colour. Her trips to Italy, France, Morocco and Mediterranean countries, such as Malta have been a great font of inspiration for her. Her main luggage becomes her palette. Maggie likes her paintings to ‘sing’ and often creates this effect by glazing paint over paint. Her main aim on board ship is to unleash the artist and creativity in her students with a gentle guiding hand and to share her passion for art. Sarah Warren

Since 1994, Sarah has been working as a commission artist supplying paintings for for various Royal Palaces, including those of the Sultan of Oman, the Ruler of Dubai and the King of Saudi Arabia. Sarah has also been commissioned to paint for various corporate buildings and galleries in the Middle East. She has an MA in Art and Design, and designs exclusive ranges of cards for chains like John Lewis, as well as being an Art Instructor on cruise ships.

Edwin (Eddy) Williams

Edwin is a fully qualified Engineer, Quality Assurance Manager and also holds a degree in Human Resource Management, specialising in Learning and Devolpment. Over the last 25 years he feels privileged to have taught many people the delight of watercolour, often combining the teaching with the raising of money for several charitable causes that are close to his heart. He encourages his students to enjoy painting what they see, in a manner that they are comfortable with. He really believes that painting in watercolour inspires people to see both themselves and the world in a refreshingly new way.

Pauline studied art at St. Helens College of Art and at The University of Wales in Cardiff; She also has a Post Graduate teaching qualification from the University of Newport. Her art is a representation of life from her perspective. She has been painting and drawing from life, recording places, events and people wherever she goes. She especially enjoys drawing musicians whilst they play. Pauline also teaches drawing and painting, mostly to adults, specializing in portraiture and life-drawing.
